GUWAHATI: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has taken a dig at the students of Jamia Millia Islamia and Jawaharlal Nehru University on January 24, saying that due to their ongoing protests against CAA, the image of India has been hit abroad.

Addressing a press conference on January 24, Ramdev said that,” These days the country is getting a bad name as it seems that there are only protests and violence going on here. I say to students of all universities, including the JNU that they should leave protests for the politicians otherwise the politicians will become jobless. To spread anarchy and being involved in public protests all the time are not the responsibilities of a student.”

Ramdev urged the students, who are protesting against CAA, to leave demonstrations and focus on their studies and careers.

Ramdev went ahead to acknowledge that there are many problems in the country like price rise and poverty. Furthermore, he stressed on measures that should be taken to strengthen the economy of India.

“Students should focus on their career and contribute to the nation’s development. To chant Azadi songs all the time is a betrayal of the country and it amounts to sedition,” Ramdev further added.
