GUWAHATI: The centuries-old deity of Maa Tara was ceremoniously re-installed at the Ugratara temple on May 23 in the presence of devotees.

It is to be mentioned that the re-installation was carried out after the idol was stolen from the temple in November last year. Earlier this month, Golaghat police recovered the idol from Nalbari district and handed it over to the temple management.
Situated in Uzan Bazar, Guwahati, Ugratara temple is famous for worshipping Sati Devi, the first partner of Lord Shiva.
