The recovered vehicles, bearing registration numbers DL9CAP9901 and AS01JC5194, were reported to have been stolen from Delhi.

The investigation has revealed that the stolen vehicles had been brought to Guwahati after their registration numbers, engine numbers, and chassis numbers were tampered with to avoid detection. This alteration was likely done as part of an effort to disguise the vehicles and resell them illegally.

One Rajesh Singh (34), a resident of Sirabad, Rajasthan, was arrested in connection with the case from Kundil Nagar. Singh is suspected to be a member of an inter-state vehicle theft gang that operates across different regions of India. Authorities have initiated legal action against Rajesh Singh and are continuing their investigation to uncover further links to the inter-state vehicle theft network
