GUWAHATI: A dumper truck lost control and rammed into a hoarding pole under the flyover in Guwahati’s Bhangagarh area on the night of Sunday, May 4. The vehicle was en route from Ganeshguri towards Ulubari when the collision occurred.

The impact was strong enough to snap the hoarding structure, Following the crash, the dumper’s driver fled the spot. However, police from Paltan Bazar station later confirmed the driver had been apprehended.
Speaking to GPlus, a traffic police official from Paltan Bazaar police station stated, “A dumper truck lost control and rammed into a hoarding pole under the flyover last night. The dumper was heading towards Ulubari. The absconding driver has been caught.”
The accident comes weeks after a road mishap on April 9, in Guwahati’s Lalmati, where a collision between a dumper and a two-wheeler resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
