GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has approved two percent increase of Dearness Allowance (DA) effective from 1 July, 2018.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal tweeted about the increase on Tuesday evening.
State Government employees will get additional 2% dearness allowance. This increase will take their DA to 9% from the existing 7%.
Assam Govt has approved 2% increase of Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees applicable from 1 July, 2018. The DA has now increased from the previous 7% to 9%.

This decision will add an extra burden of Rs. 50 crore per month over the state exchequer.
