Two invigilators suspended for carrying mobile phones to the exam hall

Two invigilators were suspended in lower Assam’s South Salmara for violating exam norms on Monday. The invigilators were caught with their mobile phones inside the examination centre. The SEBA board has banned carrying of mobile phones by examinees and invigilators inside the examination centres. The All Assam Students' Union burnt effigies of state education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and SEBA in protest of the mismanaged conduct of HS examinations in the state. They demanded that the board hold the remaining examination and announce its results glitch-free. Many students in Upper Assam's Lakhimpur district also had to write their answers by candlelight because of load-shedding. The Class XII (HS) examinations began with 2,49,317 students appearing for the examination at 820 centres across the state.  Stay updated on the go with GPlus News.
