GUWAHATI: Taking cognisance of the increasing number of ATM frauds, the city police on December 2, apprehend two persons who were allegedly involved in ATM hacking from Mathgharia in Guwahati.
According to reports, the suspects identified as Fakaruddin and Shamim who hails from Sikarpur in Haryana could not give satisfactory reply on interogation and seized 30 ATM cards along with two cheques from their possession.
Police suspects that they came to Guwahati commit some ATM fraud. Meanwhile, the owners of ATM cards are being connected in coordination with Bank authories.

In this connection a case has been registered in Geetanagar Police Station- c/no 543/19 u/s 420/379/511 IPC.
Investigation is this regard is underway.
