GUWAHATI: Two passengers from Assam were injured in the derailment of the 12551 Kamakhya Superfast Express near Nergundi Railway Station in Cuttack, Odisha on Sunday, Mach 30.

Taking to the social media handle X (formerly Twitter), Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the information.
The injured individuals are Willson Digal of Udalguri and Amiran Nisha of Baksa, who sustained injuries during the incident. Both are currently undergoing treatment and are out of danger, according to the sources.
The accident occurred around noon when eleven AC coaches of the train, traveling from Bengaluru to Kamakhya, derailed. While initial reports suggested possible casualties, no deaths have been confirmed.
Emergency response teams, including an accident relief train with medical equipment, were promptly dispatched to the site.
The cause of the derailment is still under investigation.
