GUWAHATI: Two journalists were arrested for extorting a wine shop owner in Sivasagar, Assam.
They had reportedly been blackmailing the owner, demanding Rs. 1 lakh since 2nd January and were held by Gaurisagar Police on 6th January.
The two journalists, Rintu Senchowa and Chandan Gogoi, hail from Namti and Jhanji areas of Sivasagar respectively.
