GUWAHATI: A team from Panbazar Police Station conducted a raid at a hideout near 4 No Rail Gate, Fancy Bazaar, leading to the arrest of two individuals involved in drug peddling on Wednesday, March 5.

The arrested persons have been identified as Abdul Haque (66) of Dalgaon and Safiqul Islam (24) of Fakirganj. During the raid, the police seized eight vials of heroin weighing 10.66 gram, along with 140 empty vials suspected to be used for drug packaging. Additionally, a stolen mobile phone, a charging machine, and silver jewellery, including four anklets, two chains, and one ring, were recovered from the hideout.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused. Further investigations are underway
