GUWAHATI: A team from Dispur Police Station recovered a stolen truck and arrested eight individuals on Sunday, March 30, involved in the crime following a swift investigation.

The truck (AS13AC5614) was reported stolen from its parked location near Sai Baba Mandir. During the investigation, authorities seized a recovery van (AS01Y4088) used in the theft at Basistha.
Acting on leads, officials conducted a search operation at a dump yard in 13 Mile, Meghalaya, where they recovered dismantled parts of the stolen truck, including its engine. These parts had already been loaded onto another vehicle (HR58B7366) at the time of discovery.
Police apprehended the following suspects from various locations:
- Md. Rashidul Alom – Nalbari
- Noor Hussain – Satgaon
- Maidul Islam – Mukalmuwa
- Ainul Haque – Hajo
- Nazrul Islam – Bongaigaon
- Pankaj Yadav – Lalmati
- Sanjib Kumar – Haryana
- Ranbir Arora – Haryana
Legal proceedings have been initiated and further investigations are ongoing.
