GUWAHATI: The Tripura Government will be launching helicopter services called the ‘Hawaii Tour’, from January 7, 2023.
The helicopter services will be from the MBB Airport in Agartala to Narkel Kunj in Dumboor of Gomati district and Unakoti.
While Dumboor is Tripura's largest natural water body, Unakoti is an archaeological site, famous for the huge carvings of Lord Shiva made during the 15th century.
Tourism Secretary, Uttam Kumar Chakma on Monday, January 2 said initially that the chopper services will be made available once a week from both destinations, accommodating four to six passengers per trip.
However, the frequency of trips would be increased based on demand. The chopper services will take off from Unakoti every Saturday and from Dumboor on Sunday.
