GUWAHATI: The train services in the Lumding-Badarpur Hill section which were disrupted following the derailment of train no. 12520 Agartala–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express on October 17, 2024, have been restored. This notification comes as of October 18.

Officials confirmed that normal operations resumed today, with train no. 12503 SMVT Bengaluru–Agartala Express becoming the first train to pass through the affected section at Dibalong station at 09:48 AM on October 18.
The derailment had caused significant delays, but railway authorities restored the track, ensuring minimal disruption to services. Passengers can now expect normal train operations in the section.
