GUWAHATI: The newly floated party by Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), Raijor Dal (RD) has taken the regionalism flank ahead of the Assam Assembly Elections 2021. Ahead of the elections, KMSS has said that doors are open for Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

G Plus spoke to Dharjya Konwar, President of KMSS, who revealed that there is a need to have a common minimum agenda between the AJP and the RD to oust the BJP. However, it doesn't mean that they have to join together as a party.

"Initially we wanted to come under one party, one flag for regionalism but it didn't materialise," said the peasant leader. He further stressed the need of regionalism among the Assamese people due to their dissatisfaction with BJP.

Konwar further revealed that the foundation of Raijor Dal is still in talks and his statements are not from the party's standpoint. "Our meetings are going on to build the party and in the coming times a clear picture of CM face and coalition strategy will be revealed," he told G Plus.
