GUWAHATI: The three AGP ministers in the BJP-led Assam government are going to tender their resignations to Assam Governor, Jagdish Mukhi.
AGP president and Assam Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, Assam Water Resources Minister Keshab Mahanta, Assam Food and Civil Supplies Minister Phani Bhushan Choudhury will tender their resignations today.
All the AGP functionaries will also vacate their various posts from the corporations and PSUs. This decision was taken after their break-up with their ruling partner Bharatiya Janata Party.

The AGP had decided to break-up the pre-poll alliance with the BJP on 7th January after the Narendra Modi-led government decided to pass the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 in the Parliament.
Earlier, AGP President Atul Bora in an official statement in New Delhi had announced that ”AGP is no longer in alliance with BJP.
