GUWAHATI: In continuation of the 'TheThinkCampaign', Assam Police is launching a two-week long Cyber Safety and Awareness Campaign in partnership with UNICEF Assam.
The new campaign is termed as #ThinkBeforeYouClick. This Social Media campaign is designed to raise awareness among children, youth, students and the public at large on issues pertaining to Digital and Internet safety.
The Assam Police Smart Social Media Centre has released a circular stating that the campaign will kick off from 20th September, on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube et al with creative visuals and multimedia graphics on cyber safety and wellness.
Additionally, Assam Police is also planning to conduct workshops and training sessions for Schools and Colleges where experts from Social Media and Digital Media along with Assam Police officials will sensitise young students on Cyber Safety.
An added feature of these workshops and training sessions will be self-defence demonstrations, as at times Cyber Stalking is followed by physical stalking.
