GUWAHATI: The East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) in Bhagaduttapur, Dispur, arrested Md Nur Mahamad, a 21-year-old from Chaygaon in connection with a theft in Dakhingaon, Kahilipara on Wednesday, September 18.

The suspect is believed to be a veteran thief with a history of similar crimes.
During the arrest, police recovered several stolen items from his possession, including 3 gold necklaces, 11 gold rings, 1 diamond ring, 6 pairs of gold earrings, 3 pairs of gold bangles, 1 gold chain, 2 silver chains, 1 silver ring, and ₹290 in coins.
Md Nur Mahamad was apprehended after an investigation into the recent theft, and legal action has been initiated.
