Hit-And-Run Claims Life Of Tetelia Resident In Guwahati

 

GUWAHATI: A hit-and-run incident in Tetelia claimed the life of a local resident on Tuesday, May 6. The deceased has been identified as Manju Ghosh.

According to preliminary reports, Ghosh was struck by a four-wheeler that attempted to flee the scene immediately after the collision. Eyewitnesses and local residents acted swiftly to note the registration number of the vehicle, aiding the investigation.

Speaking to GPlus, a traffic official from the Jalukbari outpost said, “The driver fled away from the scene, but the public helped to identify the registration number. Upon contacting the owner, he said it was driven by the driver and will hand over the vehicle to the police. Ghosh was declared dead when taken to GMCH.”

The police have begun an investigation into the incident, and the vehicle involved is expected to be handed over for further examination. Authorities have not released any information about the driver’s identity at this stage.
