Tezpur University Signs MoU With IIT Guwahati To Drive Interdisciplinary Research Initiatives

 

GUWAHATI: Tezpur University and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, have entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering multifaceted collaborations across various academic domains. This alliance, formally inked on October 12, seeks to drive cooperative research endeavours in fields encompassing Bioscience and Bioengineering, Physical Sciences, Design, Civil Engineering, Climate Change, Air Pollution, Artificial Intelligence, High-Performance Computing, Energy Science and Engineering, among others.

The momentous MoU signing ceremony took place at the premises of IIT Guwahati and was presided over by Prof. Parameswar K. Iyer, the Director of IITG, and Prof. Shambhu Nath Singh, the Vice Chancellor of Tezpur University.

Ahead of the formal signing, faculty members from both institutions engaged in a brainstorming session to identify key areas of collaboration and to establish the modalities for their execution. This productive session was led by Prof. Bimal Katiyar, Dean of Research and Development at IITG, and Prof. Dhanapati Deka, Dean of Research and Development at Tezpur University.

The MoU signifies a promising chapter in multidisciplinary research, offering an opportunity for institutions of academic eminence to join forces, inspire innovation, and drive meaningful change through collaborative research and development.
