GUWAHATI: Various parts of Assam have hit record temperatures of less than 10 degrees Celsius this winter, as stated by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to reports, Dibrugarh recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius, and North Lakhimpur hit 9 degrees Celsius today.
Guwahati recorded a minimum temperature of 12.5 degrees Celsius on December 15.
Shillong has also hit a minimum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius today.
Weather is likely to remain dry over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Fog is also expected to develop over these areas.
