The accused were also presented before the Special Railway Magistrate (SRM), Guwahati, who ordered their judicial custody. All four have been lodged at Central Jail, Lokhra, Guwahati.
This incident is part of a broader crackdown by the RPF to address criminal activity at railway premises. Since March alone, RPF personnel have arrested 19 individuals in diesel theft cases. These were followed by 22 more arrests in April, reflecting increased vigilance across zones.
