GUWAHATI: A 14-year-old girl studying in Class 9 has gone missing from the Amsing Jorabat area on the outskirts of Guwahati, raising concerns among local residents and authorities.

According to the family, the minor, a resident of Amsing Jorabat itself, was allegedly abducted by a youth named Ali late on Wednesday night. The incident prompted the family to lodge a First Information Report (FIR) at the Satgaon Police Station.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from the Satgaon Police Station confirmed that the complaint was formally registered around 11:30 AM on Thursday, May 1. “We have registered a case based on the family’s complaint and initiated an investigation,” the official said.
Despite ongoing efforts, the police have yet to locate the missing girl. Authorities are continuing their search and have assured that all necessary steps are being taken to trace her whereabouts and apprehend the accused.
