GUWAHATI : Members of the tea unions and traders recently held a meeting with the Study Committee on Tea Industry, which was constituted by the state government, to discuss various woes of the of the Assam tea industry workers.
Representatives of Planters’ of Big and Small Tea Estate, discussed on the problems of tea sector industries of Assam such as quality production of tea leaves, labour wages, management, price mechanism, competitive marketing and auctioning among others.
During the meeting, the members also discussed on the revival of the state tea industry.
