Tata Trust has signed MoU with Assam Government, during Advantage Assam, to launch a comprehensive cancer care programme in Assam, wherein boththe parties wil jointly establish cancer hospitals in the state of Assam.
As part of the initiative, Tata will invest Rs 802 crores and Assam Govt will invest Rs 1000 crores.
A L-1 cancer hospital will be established in Guwahati, and L2 hospitals will be opened in other towns of the state (names yet to be disclosed). L-3 cancer hospitals will be established in all districts of Assam.
