GUWAHATI: After the deadly Pulwama attack on 14 February 2019 where a suicide car bomber attacked a CRPF convoy which left several jawans martyred.
Tata Motors presented a new bulletproof bus for the CRPF forces to ensure the safety of the soldiers in the valley. However, the buses will only provide protection from gunfire and not provide full-proof protection.
Following the incident, the CRPF decided to procure new Mine Protected Vehicle (MPV) and a 30-seater bulletproof bus to ensure the safety of its troops deployed in the Kashmir valley.
It is also expected that the CRPF would receive Mine Protected Vehicle (MPV) soon.
The buses might also be deployed along the red corridor (Naxalite areas) in the country.
