Tarun Gogoi slams Himanta; says he knows when and how to flatter people

Former Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi on Tuesday slammed Himanta Biswa Sarma for his statement that the former Congress Govt did not fulfill even 10% work that was committed to the people. "If our government failed to achieve even 10% target, that means Himanta Biswa Sarma who was one of the Congress ministers, also failed drasticaly to achieve his targets," he replied.

He also said that the Assam Budge 2018 announced by Himanta on Monday was nothing but a 'Xerox Copy' of the previous budget.

Gogoi further said that Himanta knows it well when to butter up someone and how to flutter someone. " During the Congress regime, he praised me; today he praises Sarbananda Sonowal. There is no assurance whom Himanta will praise and butter up in the near future," the former CM said.

Gogoi claimed that it was only because of the Congress Govt in the state that the scenario of medical colleges developed to such an extent. He also claimed that the former government had contributed much to the socio economic development of the people of Assam by distributing yarns and blankets to the poor.
