Tarun Gogoi leaves Koinadhora residence after 17 years, moves to MLA hostel

GUWAHATI: Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on 27th July, Friday bid adieu to his Koinadhara residence after 17 years and shifted to his MLA hostel quarters.

It is to be mentioned that, the Koinadhara guest house was built in 1976 during the Congress session which was attended by Indira Gandhi.

Gogoi while interacting with the media said that the Koinadhora guest house has witnessed the development of Assam under the Congress regime.

He further added that the Koinadhora guest house bears testimony of his struggle and success.

Taking a dig at the BJP-led government, Gogoi said that Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal does not consider the guest house, nestled amidst nature along the Assam-Meghalaya border, as beautiful as the Brahmaputra Guest House and instead likes flashy materialistic things.
