GUWAHATI: Acting on information, a joint operation was carried out by the Special Task Force (STF) in collaboration with the Government Railway Police (GRP) at a residence in 15th Mile, Amtola-Basti, located on the Assam-Meghalaya border under the jurisdiction of Sonapur Police Station.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of one Sabina Giri.
The authorities also recovered various items from the premises, indicating alleged involvement in drug-related activities.
The seized items include 1 soapbox, 10 vials, one tobacco box containing suspected heroin (total weight: 70 Grams), cash amounting to ₹12,400, 6 mobile phones suspected to be stolen, 5 syringes, and 18 empty vials.
The Sonapur Police Station is overseeing the necessary legal procedures related to the case.
