Summer Special Train To Operate Between Guwahati and Rajasthan

 

GUWAHATI: Indian Railways is launching a summer special train between Guwahati and Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan to cater to the increased passenger traffic during the summer months. The 05636/05635 Guwahati-Shri Ganganagar-Guwahati Summer Special will run via Lucknow and is scheduled to operate for six trips from May 21 to June 25.

The train will depart from Guwahati every Wednesday at 6:15 PM and travel through Kamakhya, Goalpara Town, and New Jalpaiguri, reaching Lucknow at 2:20 AM on the third day. From Lucknow, it will continue to Kanpur Central, Mathura Junction, and finally reach Sri Ganganagar at 3:30 AM on the fourth day.

On the return leg, the 05635 Shri Ganganagar-Guwahati Summer Special will depart from Sri Ganganagar every Sunday at 1:20 PM, reaching Lucknow at 2:30 PM on the second day. From Lucknow, it will travel via Ayodhya Cantt, eventually arriving in Guwahati at 12:25 AM on the fourth day.

In addition to the summer special, Indian Railways has also restored several previously canceled trains on various routes, including Gonda-Sitapur, Sitapur-Shahjahanpur, and Gonda-Bahraich, to accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the season.
