Student leader part of Naked Protest in Delhi against CAB joins BJP ahead of LS elections

GUWAHATI: All Assam Scheduled Caste Students’ Union leader, Jadav Das who had staged a naked protest in New Delhi against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in January of this year has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). 

State BJP party president, Ranjeet Kumar Dass welcomed Das into the party. 

Recently, former Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS) leaders and two Anchalik Committee members also joined the party in less than a week from the first phase of the elections. 

It should be mentioned that the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) and 69 other indigenous organisations of Assam stripped naked and covered themselves in banners against the BJP’s move to table the Citizenship Bill on January 7.
