GUWAHATI: Personnel from Basistha Police Station and Jorabat Police Outpost nabbed two bike thieves on Monday, February 10 and recovered a stolen motorcycle within 12 hours of the complaint.

In an operation, police first apprehended one Sanidul Dewan (24) of Baragdía village in Barpeta district, who was involved in multiple theft cases across Guwahati. Following his arrest, police recovered a motorcycle (AS01FR1597) from his possession, which was stolen earlier the same day.
The complaint was lodged by Pankaj Teron, who reported that his motorcycle had been stolen from his residence around 2 AM. During interrogation, Sanidul Dewan led police to another accused, Mahar Ali (38) of Majarchar village in Barpeta. Ali was also apprehended for his involvement in the theft.
Further investigation is underway.
