State Govt Provides Appointment Letters to 1128 Under NHM and 63 Under Directorate of Health Service

GUWAHATI: Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Himanta Biswa Sarma on 31 Jan, distributed engagement letters to 400 surveillance workers and 728 staff nurses under the National Health Mission (NHM) Assam.

The event was held in the GMCH auditorium at Bhangaghar.

Addressing the occasion Sarma said “Before the year 2025 most of the districts in Assam would have a medical college and every year two new government hospitals will be opened in each of the district headquarters. The government has decided to set up 19 cancer hospitals and construction of 9 hospitals are already underway.”

Sarma also distributed 63 appointment letters to Grade IV staffers under Director of Health Service (FW) later in the day.
