GUWAHATI: As per revised guidelines from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), five State Government Engineering Colleges in Assam will conduct spot counselling for provisional admission on October 7, based on the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE-2024). The colleges participating in this round are:
1. Assam Engineering College, Guwahati.
2. Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat.
3. Jorhat Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat.
4. Barak Valley Engineering College, Karimganj.
5. Dhemaji Engineering College, Dhemaji.

Key Details of Spot Counselling:
- Registration Time: 9:30 AM to 12:00(PM) Noon.
- Eligibility: Candidates must have a valid CEE-2024 rank.
- Seats: Vacant seats will be filled according to CEE-2024 rank, subject to vacancy and available only in the unreserved category.
Candidates are required to visit the respective college websites to check the number of available seats. Additionally, they must contact the Principal/Coordinator of their chosen college to inquire about vacancies.
The registration process is as follows:
- Candidates must register in person at the chosen college on the day of spot counselling within the stipulated time.
- A non-refundable registration fee of ₹800 is required, to be paid to the account of the Controller of Examination, SCTE, Assam, Guwahati (Account No: 33334506570, IFSC: SBIN000420). Those who have already paid this fee are exempt.
- Admission fees will need to be paid directly to the college where candidates are selected.
The final list of selected candidates and any further updates will be notified on the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam's website (https://dte.assam.gov.in). Candidates have been urged to ensure they meet all other requirements outlined in the Admission Guidelines.
