GUWAHATI: A speeding train reportedly collided with a truck carrying goods in Nandapur area of Karimganj on February 28.

As per reports, Khongsang-Agartala Jan Shatabdi Express collided with a goods-carrying vehicle that attempted to cross the rail crossing without authorisation, after passing the Bhanga station.

Fortunately, both the truck driver and passengers on the express train escaped the mishap unharmed.
However, the vehicle suffered extensive damage in the collision. Upon receiving the information, a team from the Government Railway Police (GRP) promptly arrived at the scene to recover the truck.
