GUWAHATI: We are still trying to locate the source of transmission as to how the first Covid-19 patient of Guwahati got infected, stated Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during a press conference on April 4, Saturday.
The first positive case of Covid-19 in Guwahati came on April 3 after Manish Tibrewal, a resident of Zoo Road tested positive for the same.
Tibrewal had no connection with Nizamuddin Markaz, neither has he travelled outside of Guwahati since March 1.
The patient is admitted at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital but he is currently stable, although he showcases symptoms of the virus.
He also suffers from asthma and had some co-morbidities too.
