Sony Focuses On Premium Brand Positioning With Unique Product Offerings

GUWAHATI: Sony India, in its endeavour to strengthen its premium brand position in the country has launched a strong line-up of new products, exciting consumer and finance offers. Out of the entire gamut of products, our premium products across all categories together contribute about 25% to the total revenue at the moment. We expect to increase this contribution by up to 40% in the next couple of years. For Festive season, we have set a growth target of 100% in premium television segment, 15% in the overall television business, 80% in Digital Imaging, 40% in Soundbar, 60% in Party speaker and 90% in headphones category in the festive season vs corresponding period last year (Sep – Nov). 

A wide array of innovative products across all categories and price points have been announced with the objective of maximizing customer satisfaction during the festive season that includes the following:

• Television: Flagship BRAVIA OLED MASTER series A9G and BRAVIA OLED 4K TV A8G series, Premium 4K HDR LED TVs X9500G, X8500G and 4K HDR Triluminos LED TVs X8000G and X7002G in the television segment.

• Digital Imaging: Alpha 7R IV, Alpha 7R III & Alpha 7 III full frame cameras, RX0 II ultra compact camera, a vlogger kit including A6400 camera along with additional accessories, Super Telephoto 600mm F4 G Master™ Prime Lens and 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS Super-Telephoto Zoom Lens

• Home Audio: Home audio segment has seen the launch of HT-Z9F and HT-X8500 Dolby Atmos soundbars

• Personal Audio: WH-XB900N Extra Bass Noise Cancellation headphone with Alexa, SRS-402M wireless Alexa speaker have been added to the personal audio segment.
