GUWAHATI: With temperatures rising and given the on-going city construction work, commuters in Guwahati are facing a harrowing time getting stuck in traffic jams, especially on GS Road, Jalukbari, Sarabbhati, AT Road, Athgaon, Chatribari and other congested areas of the city.

“It’s very hot outside and there is so much traffic in several parts of the city. Travelling outside in this heat is a pain and one has to be very careful as we have to wait for a long time in traffic jams. It is especially difficult for people on two-wheelers,” said a Guwahatian speaking to G Plus.
According to the Weather Channel, the current temperature of Guwahati is 35°C and the 'real feel' temperature of the city is currently 52°C.

It is predicted that the mercury level in Guwahati may go up to over 37°C today.
