In a joint operation conducted by the Excise Dept and Assam Police, several hubs of illegal liquor business were busted on Thursday.
Locals have been complaining about the illegal business in the area since a long time.
Based on inputs provided by the locals of the area, the Excise Department demolished several hubs where liquor was sold illegally.
The team has also busted several illegal business near Kamakhya rail line too.
No arrest has been made in connection with this so far.
Allegedly, despite regular clearance of the encroachments, the illegal operatives return to resume business.
