GUWAHATI: Sensex and Nifty soared ahead of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s address. Indices stayed green as Sensex was trading 2.03 percent higher at 32,008.61 while Nifty went up by 187 points right before the address.
The Finance Minister is addressing the nation giving out details of Rs 20 lakh crore economic package from the Centre pitched by the Prime Minister for an ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’ or self-reliant India.
The Finance Minister also recalled the five Pillars of growth namely, economy, infrastructure, technology-driven systems, demography and demand and supply chain mentioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday along with the reform driven schemes of India - DBT, Micro insurance Scheme enablers.
