GUWAHATI: In a tragic incident, a senior citizen was critically injured after being hit by a motorcycle in Guwahati’s Bhetapara area, late on Tuesday, October 29.
The victim has been identified as Ghanshyam Baishya (67) and is currently admitted at GNRC Hospital.
Talking to G Plus, the victim’s relative stated that Baishya is in urgent need of A-ve blood and is being kept under life support.
The accused has been identified as a 17-year-old boy, who was driving the motorcycle which rammed Baishya.
Police officials brought in the minor and his guardian in for questioning. Talking to G Plus, an official at the Hatigaon Police Station stated that victim’s family had not yet lodged an FIR and thus the accused was released.
