GUWAHATI: Based on the information provided by Jahnabi Saikia, Latashil Police has arrested one Chinmoy Laskar, who was suspected to be involved in Guwahati grenade blast.
The police have picked up Laskar from Sundarpur area in the city and have taken him into custody for interrogation.

Laskar has been suspected to be the person who threw the grenade from a scooter to the checkpoint near Guwahati Central shopping mall.
The scooter was taken on rent from a Guwahati-based agency.
It was equipped with a GPS that helped the police to track down and arrest ULFA leader Pranamoy Rajguru and Assamese actress Jahnabi Saikia, the two main accused in the case.

It should be mentioned that the Rajguru and Saikia were sent to 10-day police custody on May 17.
