GUWAHATI: BJP Assam organised a massive rally at the Chowkidinghee playground in Dibrugarh on February 21.
Addressing party workers, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal vowed to win 12 Lok Sabha seats from the state in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
"Of the total 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam we will have to win a minimum of 12 seats," said Sonowal.
It is to be mentioned that in the 2014 election, BJP had won 7 seats out of the 14 Lok Sabha seats, followed by Congress and AIUDF with 3 seats each, while one seat went to an Independent candidate.
Thousands of saffron party workers from Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur and Jorhat Lok Sabha constituencies participated in the rally.
