'Safety Management System' training for Airports Authority of India officials

GUWAHATI: A four day 'Safety Management System' (SMS) training program was conducted at Tezpur Airport, Tezpur, Assam for the designated safety managers of the Airports Authority of India posted at different airports in North Eastern Region.

The training programme which started on 26th June, 2018 was concluded with distribution of training course completion certificate by D.K Kamra, Regional Executive Director, AAI, Guwahati.
 
The training program was conducted by experts in Aviation Safety from AAI Headquarters, New Delhi and Regional Headquarters, NER, Guwahati.

The ‘Safety Management System’ (SMS) is a requisite that has been mandated by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to all its member States to which India is also a signatory.
