GUWAHATI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced that applications for the Ishan Uday Scholarship, specifically for students from the North Eastern Region (NER), are now open for the academic year 2024-2025.

Students can apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), which is currently accepting applications until October 31.
The Ishan Uday Scholarship, designed to promote higher education for deserving students from the northeastern states, is available for both fresh applications and renewals. Students who previously availed the scholarship during the 2023-24 academic year and are eligible for renewal have been urged to submit their applications promptly. Failing to do so before the October 31 deadline will result in the loss of scholarship benefits for the next academic year.
Students have been encouraged to apply early via the NSP to avoid last-minute rushes and potential issues that may arise as the deadline approaches.
