Registrations Now Open For Delivery Of JICA-Assisted Water Supply In Some Parts Of Guwahati

 

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Jal Board on August 2 announced that registrations are now open for residents in the designated areas to apply for the hassle-free delivery of hygienic drinking water directly to their homes.

The areas that will be able to register for JICA-assisted water supply are Gandhi Basti, Islampur, Hazi Musafir Khana, Ashram Road, Lachit Nagar, ISKON Temple, Bora Service, Bhangagarh, Ambikagiri Nagar / Jonali, Mother Teresa Road, Zoo-Road, Narikalbari and Geetanagar.

The initiative is part of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) assisted Guwahati water supply project, aimed at improving the water supply system in the city.

With the assistance of JICA, the board has implemented various measures to enhance the quality and accessibility of drinking water in the city.

Under the JICA-assisted Guwahati water supply project, residents in the mentioned areas can now apply for the convenient delivery of hygienic drinking water.

This service is designed to eliminate the hassles associated with collecting and storing water, ensuring that households have access to clean and safe drinking water at all times.
