Rajasthan: Two Minor Girls Gang-Raped for Three Days

GUWAHATI: Amid nationwide outrage over the brutal gang-rape and murder of a Dalit woman in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras, another such incident has been reported in Rajasthan.

As per the reports, two minor girls were abducted from Baran region of Rajasthan. The accused took the girls to Kota, Jaipur, and Ajmer. As per reports in local media channels, the minors were allegedly gang-raped for three days.

The father of the girls, aged 13 and 15, told police that the two accused, also minors, lured his daughters on the night of September 18 to leave the district with them. They were then taken to Kota and Jaipur where they were raped by the two minor boys and three others, the father alleged.
On September 21, the two girls were found in Kota.

While police claimed that the minor girls denied allegations of rape in their statement, the two admitted on camera to having been drugged and gang-raped.

The family of the two minors, meanwhile, alleged that they were threatened not to file a complaint against the accused.

As the girls’ father informed the police about the incident, cops took accused to the police station. When the girls told police about the incident, the accused threatened to kill them in front of the police, the family of the girls alleged.

Meanwhile, condemning the Baran rape case, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said that Hathras gangrape case can’t be compared to Baran.

"Incident is one thing and action is second, if incident happens then action is also immediate. A section of the media and the opposition are trying to mislead the people of the state and the country by comparing it to a gruesome incident like Hathras," Gehlot tweeted.
