GUWAHATI: Having stepped into the month of April when generally rain is forecast during this time, Guwahati has been witnessing a constant dry period with the temperatures tending to soar.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department Guwahati website, Guwahati is likely to witness one or two spells of rain or thundershowers starting from April 8, 2020.
Speaking to G Plus, Director of Meteorology, Sanjay Shaw said, "The Bordoichila season generally starts in March and reaches its peak in April, hence its too early to comment on it."
"Apart from Guwahati we have got reports of thundershowers and lightening from other parts of the northeast including Tripura and so Guwahati will also witness rainfall in coming days," he added.
