GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) presents Kamakhya Prasad Tasa as its candidate for the Kaziranga constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
At 48 years old, Tasa brings a blend of experience and qualifications to Assam politics. Tasa's educational background includes a Masters in Arts degree from Dibrugarh University, in 1999.

Tasa served as a Member of Parliament for Jorhat from 2014 to 2019. Currently, he represents Assam in the Rajya Sabha, a position he has held since 2019.
His total income for the fiscal year 2022-23 amounts to Rs 11,68,970. Tasa possesses movable assets valued at Rs 52,13,999.95 and immovable assets worth Rs 62,00,000.

Notably, he has declared liabilities amounting to Rs 15,86,170. Tasa has a clean record with no reported criminal cases against him.
