There is a large element of risk involved in their pursuit of a `high' as at times, in their attempt to flee from police, they have to even contend with moving trains.
Speaking to GPlus, a police officer from Bharalumukh Police Station said, "we constantly patrol the area under the Athgaon flyover. We often drive away drunkards sitting on the tracks. At times we also come across some consuming drugs, but they keep coming back. We are helpless. It’s not just one or two days, but a daily situation.
Similar situation reportedly prevails at other points along the railway tracks.
