GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Tennis Association (GTA) hosted the sixth edition of the Pulin Das Memorial Open Prize-Money Quiz Competition-2023 at Kumar Bhaskar Natya Mandir in the city on Sunday.
The event witnessed intense competition with 22 teams from various regions participating in the initial stage, from which six teams advanced to the final round. Raktim Ranjan Baishya and Mridul Ram Kalita emerged as winners at the competition.
In a closely contested final, Baishya and Kalita emerged as the winners of the quiz competition, showcasing their knowledge and quick thinking. The first runner-up position was secured by Chandan Deorah and Dipanjan Deb, while the second runner-up award went to the team of Sandipan Pathak and Nayan Jyoti Medhi.
The top three winning teams were honoured with cash awards and trophies, with the first-place team receiving ₹12,000, the second-place team receiving ₹8,000, and the third-place team receiving ₹6,000. Additionally, teams securing the fourth to sixth positions were each presented with a cash award of ₹2,000.
The quiz competition, organised in memory of Pulin Das, not only provided a platform for intellectual engagement but also showcased the diverse knowledge and talents of participants from across the region.
